Romans12:9-13
9 Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.

Prayer Request…
Rachel will be at MSU this week for three days. She is in Club Congress for 4H and will be in some various competitions. One of them is a speech and believe it or not she is SOOOO shy when it comes to speaking in front of an audience!

I could start out with the normal fancy smancy floofloo ’You’re the Best Mom in the World!’ that Mother’s day cards usually have, it might be true, but that wouldn’t show my exact feelings.
I’d like to do it a little different…..
Mom, my absolute favorite thing about you is that you ‘put up’ with me.
hehe– I mean it! Really, I love how you just look over me in my Shortcomings, and how when I have a problem you tell me what you would do (which usually turns out to be pretty nice guidance in deciding how I am going to handle that situation).
I hope and pray that God will bless me with the same merciful spirit someday when I have to deal with me own kids!
So in a way— I am saying, “When I grow up, I want to be just like you.”

“It would help younger women to know there are a few listening ears when they don’t know what to do with an uncommunicative husband, a 25-pound turkey, or a two-year-old’s tantrum.
It is doubtful that the Apostle Paul had in mind Bible classes or seminars or books when he spoke of teaching younger women. He meant the simple things, the everyday example, the willingness to take time from one’s own concerns to pray with the anxious mother, to walk with her the way of the cross–with its tremendous demands of patience, selflessness, lovingkindness–and to show her, in the ordinariness of Monday through Saturday, how to keep a quiet heart.

I took a little liberty with some of the words but I love the stubbornness related in this song.
Satan just doesn’t get it when it comes to us christians!
